    1. Rathausplatz (Viennese Dream Christmas Market)

    • This is the most iconic Christmas market in Vienna, located in front of the City Hall.

    • Over 100 stalls, tons of food, handmade goods, seasonal drinks.

    • There are activities for families (kids’ workshops, choirs on weekends).

    1. Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Market

    • Set right in front of the stunning Schönbrunn Palace, giving it a very imperial feel.

    • Around 80 artisan stalls, lovely decorations, roasted chestnuts, punch.

    • There’s also a seasonal ice rink, Ferris wheel, and children’s train.

    1. Spittelberg Christmas Market

    • Very charming and a favourite among locals. It’s tucked into narrow Biedermeier streets, which gives it a cosy, artisanal vibe.

    • More than 120 exhibitors, lots of handmade goods, fair-trade items.

    • Food here is great: local delicacies, punch, raclette, etc.

    • Romantic palace setting, baroque architecture, beautiful backdrop.

    • About 40+ stalls with crafts, food, and warm drinks.

    • Particularly good for photos and a quieter market experience.

    1. Maria-Theresien-Platz Christmas Market

    • Located between two major museums (Natural History & Art History), which makes it a great one to combine with sightseeing.

    • Around 70 stalls with a mix of food, holiday décor, and gifts.

    1. Alt Wiener Christkindlmarkt (Freyung)

    • Historic, more traditional market.

    • Very good for handcrafted wooden products, classic Austrian Christmas decorations.

    1. Karlsplatz / Art Advent

    • More of an artsy market. The market emphasizes organic goods, crafts, and design.

    • Often has live music, workshops, and a more relaxed, creative feel.

    1. Türkenschanzpark Market

    • A hidden gem in the 18th district.

    • Fewer stalls, but very artisan-focused: glassblowers, jewellers, craftspeople.
