Hop on our tour and enjoy an unforgettable Christmas day in the Lake Region. Our tour will take you through the gorgeous Vienna Woods, where you see the first snow-covered peaks of the Austrian Alps. These get closer in view until you reach the Salzkammergut (Lake Region).

Before getting to Hallstatt, discover different areas of the Lake Region, well known for the celebrated film “The Sound of Music”. Follow some of the footsteps of the famous movie and visit the Church of St. Michael in Mondsee, where the wedding scenes were shot. Experience the uniqueness of the tiny village of St. Gilgen that counts among its attractions with the birth house of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s mother.

Once in Hallstatt, feel like you are in a movie set: a blue water lake, Alpine mountains, narrow streets, old historical buildings, charming homes and cafés. In the town, located by Lake Wolfgang, you’ll find one of the most charming Christmas Markets of the country. The small village in a magic winter wonderland hosts more than 60 Christmas cabins and offers a big variety of art wares. Enter the Pilgrimage Church and stroll around the decorated streets enjoying the local Glühwein (mulled wine) and tasting the delicious stollen, roasted almonds or chestnuts.

At the end of the unique St. Wolfgang experience, take the worry-less transfer back to Vienna.

You will have plentiful opportunities to take memorable pictures.

The trip concludes with a drop off at your hotel or private apartment.
